Chapel Renovation

To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.” – St. Augustine

At OCHS, Christ is the cornerstone of our educational journey. Our mission isn’t just about teaching Theology; it’s about fostering a genuine, personal connection with Him. To achieve this, our dedicated Theology classes have been incorporating weekly chapel visits, where students can encounter Christ, deepen their faith, and share it with others.

We’re excited to announce our initiative to expand and relocate our chapel, providing a larger, more conducive environment for worship and reflection. This project will have a profound impact on every student’s spiritual growth and development.

However, we can’t do it alone. We’ve already received $735,000in generous donations, but we need an additional $1 million to make this vision a reality.

If you feel called to support our cause or want to learn more, we invite you to join us TONIGHT, Thursday, February 15th, at 7 pm in the Alumni Enrichment Center at OCHS. Alternatively, you can donate directly through the link provided down below.

Together, let’s make a difference for the generations of Aces and create a space where they can encounter the presence of our Lord.

Alumni, please help us reach our goal by the end of February. Thank you for your support! Please contact Natalie Hayden for an update and for more details. 270-686-8896 ext.3. or [email protected]

Lent has Begun

Lent is a time when participants can carry out a three-fold mission, with the key pillars being fasting, almsgiving, and prayer. Certainly, these components are not new within our Catholic teachings nor are they reserved only for Lent, as we are encouraged to practice them regularly throughout the year. However, a special and renewed focus on each of them during Lent can foster growth and appreciation within our collective faith and respective spiritual journeys.

“As Lent is the time for greater love, listen to Jesus’ thirst…’repent and believe’ Jesus tells us. What are we to repent? Our indifference, our hardness of heart. What are we to believe? Jesus thirsts even now, in your heart and in the poor — he knows your weakness. He wants only your love, wants only the chance to love you.” -Mother Teresa
