About OCHS

Owensboro Catholic High School enrolls approximately 415 students in grades 9-12.  The school year is divided into two semesters, each lasting 18 weeks.  We operate on an alternating-day block schedule.  There are four classes per day, each lasting 85 minutes.

Students have the opportunity to advance their education and earn college credits through AP and Dual Credit Classes.

OCHS offers students the opportunity to participate in championship-caliber athletics and award-winning extra-curricular activities.

ACCREDITATION

Owensboro Catholic High is a Catholic high school accredited by the Kentucky Non-Public School Commission and the Kentucky State Board of Education.

Faith in Education

Students at OCHS are given the daily opportunity to deepen their faith through daily prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, Chapel visits through Theology classes and weekly school wide Mass.  Each grade also participates in a Day of Recollection and seniors are invited to attend a three-day retreat at Gaspar River Youth Camp.  All Theology classes follow the USCCB Guidelines for faith formation.

Technology

  • Google Classroom is one tool utilized to effectively share information and feedback.
  • In addition to physical textbooks, online textbooks allow students to easily access information.
  • OCHS students are provided with a Chromebook free of charge.
