Principal’s Message

Welcome to the Owensboro Catholic Elementary K-3 Campus!  We hope you will find the K-3 Campus to be an uplifting, inviting, and caring school community where your child will experience much joy and excitement for learning as they embark on their educational journey. Our faculty and staff are committed to providing a nurturing, engaging, and faith-filled learning environment.  We seek to educate the whole child while providing excellence in academics and Catholic faith formation.

Each student is a unique child created by God and a valued member of our school family.  At the K-3 Campus, Christ is at the center of all we do with our Catholic identity incorporated into each subject taught.  Each week, our students also attend Mass.  Hearing the students singing and leading the Masses is heart-warming.  Throughout the year, students participate in prayer services, Jubilee Jams, service projects, living rosaries, and devotions centered on the Church’s liturgical seasons.  Students pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and learn about Catholic saints who exemplify virtues of faith, hope, and love.  Priests frequently visit the classrooms to speak about various religious topics and answer students’ questions concerning the Church and its teachings.

We strive to foster a love for learning and promote academic excellence.  Our students consistently score above the national norms on the MAP testing.  We have high expectations for learning, but we also want students to have fun while at school and make friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.  We strive to promote real-world application of learning, helping students develop critical thinking skills and work collaboratively with peers to solve problems.

Our staff participates in many professional development opportunities, learning best practices and strategies for creating hands-on learning experiences and differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of our students.   Our curriculum is designed to challenge and foster creativity and collaboration, providing a well-rounded education that prepares our students to become responsible members of families, churches, and communities.

We value open communication and parental involvement.  Parents are the primary examples of passing on faith to their children.  There are many opportunities for families to be involved in our parent-teacher organization and support the school community.  We are committed to working in partnership with families to meet student’s needs and guide our students as young disciples of Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or our dedicated staff.   We look forward to welcoming your family into our school community!

Sincerely in Christ,
