We can hardly believe that the 2024-2025 school year is about to start! Let’s make it a GREAT year by doing the little things each day that please the Lord!

Vote YES on Amendment 2

All of our neighboring states have education freedom. Kentucky parents and students deserve education freedom too!

Voting YES on Amendment 2 will:

-Give parents more choice in their child’s education

-Increase education funding

-Increase teacher pay

-Protect public school funding

-Help low-income and disabled students

-Give more opportunities to all students regardless of their background

-Provide more opportunities for students with special needs

-More innovation in education policies

The FACTS:

-KY is one of 2 states (North Dakota) that does not offer students and parents educational opportunities for school choice.

-Every state around KY has educational opportunities like those in Amendment 2.

-As it stands today, wealthy students have school choice in KY. It is the less advantaged students who are not able to seek the education that fits their needs.

-KY’s education structure was established in 1891. A lot has changed since then, but the structure has not.

Freshman Orientation

All incoming freshmen are invited to FRESHMAN ORIENTATION at Catholic High on Tuesday, July 30 from 9:00 – 11:30! Students will learn about high school expectations, run through a mock schedule, check out the school’s clubs at a Club Fair, and pick up their chrome books before leaving. We are so excited to meet all of you! We will see you July 30th!

Let’s Catch Up in the Courtyard on July 30th

Join us from 1-3 (following Freshman Orientation) in the OCHS Courtyard! We are offering free lunch for any student! This is a great time to catch up with friends before school is in full swing!

OCS Central Office and Scrip are back to normal office hours! Central Office is open from 8 AM-4 PM and Scrip is open from 9 AM-4 PM!

Both Scrip and Central Office will be CLOSED on Friday, August 2nd for the OC Staff Day of Recollection Retreat!

As summer projects come to an end at the high school, please watch out for construction areas and DO NOT cross barriers!!!

OCMS Schedule Pickup- July 29th

OCMS Campus would like to extend an invitation to attend the Open House /Orientation to all incoming 7th graders and their parents and any NEW 8th grade families joining us this year.

7th grade:

5:30 p.m. to7:00 p.m. for school information and schedule run through with teachers(4-minute classes). Students should wait to bring their school supplies until the first day of school August 7th.

For us to begin our presentation and tour at 5:30 p.m. for 7th grade, we ask that you arrive at 5:00 p.m. to pick up your schedules and planners. This will allow everyone to be seated cafeteria and ready for the presentation which will begin at 5:30 p.m.

However, doors will not open until 5:00p.m.

8th grade:

3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for schedule, planner and Chromebook pickup. Drive through distribution will be located under the bus port for 8thgrade students. Please follow the same route used for student morning drop off.

Friday Night Lights

Friday Night Lights is back!! Join us Friday, August 2 for an evening of football, fun, family, and fellowship.

Kids Camp Registration will begin at 4:45 pm. Camp will run from 5:15-7 pm. Camp is $20 and will include a FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS t-shirt. Campers are invited to stay for the Green and White high school scrimmage starting at 7:15 pm.

We will have a DJ after the scrimmage along with food, a snow cone truck and football apparel pickup! We hope to see you there!
