As we plan for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to share an important update regarding tuition and our ongoing commitment to providing a strong, faith-filled education at Owensboro Catholic Schools.
Over the past several years, our schools have benefited from federal COVID relief funding, which helped support operations and offset costs. With those funds now fully utilized, we are returning to a more typical funding structure, while also navigating rising costs in areas like insurance, benefits, and staff salaries.
Our teachers and staff remain our greatest investment, making up over 80% of our budget. We are committed to supporting them while continuing to serve our students with excellence.
To responsibly meet these needs, we are considering a phased tuition adjustment over the next three years, rather than a larger increase all at once. This approach allows us to plan for the future while being mindful of our families.
We also continue to invest in our facilities, including upcoming improvements like the next phase of our middle school roof project, made possible through our investments and the generosity of our donors.
It’s important to note that tuition covers less than half of our total expenses, and we provide approximately $900,000 in tuition assistance each year to support families in need.
