17 Baby Chicks at the K-3 thanks to Pam Riley!

Exciting things are happening at the K3 campus—our chicks are hatching, and we’ve broken a record!

Thanks to the incredible dedication of Pam Riley, 17 chicks have successfully hatched this season, beating last year’s total of 16. Pam has gone above and beyond, often arriving early in the morning and staying late into the evening to check the incubator and ensure the ideal hatching conditions.

Each new chick is welcomed with a sweet lullaby played over the school intercom, a tradition that brings smiles and excitement to students and staff alike. Please join us in thanking Pam Riley for her time, care, and commitment. Her work has not only brought new life to K3—but also a lot of joy!

Advanced Center for Orthopedics Sports Physicals

Advanced Center for Orthopedics and sports Medicine has June 9 reserved for coming to Owensboro Catholic  from 3:30-6:00. We will only be doing the physicals only not the FMS screenings.  The student athletes will need to have an adult with them to help with paper work and proper signatures. If they do not have an adult with them they will not be able to get their physical completed.  It is very important we have the most accurate medical history at the time of their physical.

Reminder if they play both middle school and high school they have to fully complete both forms before seeing Dr. Meredith. If they can not make it to the Owensboro Catholic physicals we are also offering them at our office 2780 Frederica Street, Owensboro on June 17  from 5:00 – 6:30 or June 24 5:00 -6:30

Your help is urgently needed to pass a national school choice bill! Contact your representatives in the U.S. Congress and urge them to support including the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) (H.R. 833/S. 292) in Budget Reconciliation. Urge your Member of Congress to maintain the ECCA’s most important provisions:

  • $10 billion in annual credits for individual and corporate giving
  • 100% credit on the donation by the taxpayer

Catholic teaching clearly states that parents are their child’s first teachers — and the government has a duty to help parents select the educational environment of their choice (CCC 2229). Passing the Educational Choice for Children Act of2025 will give millions of parents in all 50 states the ability to choose the best educational environment for their children. Maintaining these provisions in ECCA is crucial to ensuring that the greatest number of children benefit from educational opportunity. Join the USCCB in asking your Member of Congress to support including the ECCA in Budget Reconciliation. To learn more, read the USCCB Committee on Catholic Education Chairman Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M.’s letter in support of the Educational Choice for Children Act of 2025.
