Addie-Belle Rutman Leading Curvy Girls, a National Scoliosis Support Group!

Addie-Belle Rutman is a 6th grade student at the OCS 4-6 Campus.  She has scoliosis and had a significant surgery last year to correct it.   Needless to say, it was a very scary experience, but has come out bigger and better than ever!

She wanted to bring a peer-to-peer support group to Owensboro, a “place for girls to come together and talk about scoliosis, ask questions of other girls and make new friendships.”   She has become the leader of the only chapter of the Curvy Girls Foundation, a National Scoliosis Support Group, in Kentucky. The first meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 26th from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Owensboro Health Park!

Her mom, Chivonne Rutman, will also be at the support group meeting and be available to speak with any parents.  Click on the following link to see the article the Owensboro Times did on Addie-Belle!
