Create A Named Fund
Named Funds may be created at Owensboro Catholic to support a scholarship, tuition assistance grant or any infrastructure needs of the school. Funds may be named for any individual, as chosen by the donor. Named funds can be created for $25,000. The fund may be created with a single gift or over a five year period with many gifts. Once a named fund is created, the donor works with the Advancement Office to create the Named Fund Agreement through which the school will administer the funds.
The estate plans you make now ensure that Owensboro Catholic’s mission and traditions are transferred from one generation to another. Planned giving allows your loyalty and generosity to continue beyond your lifetime. A planned gift includes but is not limited to bequests, charitable annuities and remainder trusts, life insurance policies, and securities.
All donors made known to Owensboro Catholic become members of the Auspice Maria Society. The words “Auspice Maria” means ‘under the protection of Mary’, and as all of our schools are dedicated to Mary, your deferred gifts help ensure that Owensboro Catholic Schools will have adequate funds well into the future to respond to changing times and needs.
Please contact the Advancement Department at (270)686-8896 for more information on how to notify the school of your estate intentions.
Many companies will match charitable gifts made by their employees with a 1:1 or sometimes a 2:1 match. Check with your Human Resources department, you may be surprised to learn that your company also provides this benefit. Some employers even continue to match gifts from retirees. These matching corporate funds allow Owensboro Catholic to provide tuition assistance to even more young women and men. Please contact the Advancement Office at (270)686-8896 for more information on how to apply for a matching gift.
A memorial gift serves as a remembrance of a loved one, a true friend, respected teacher, or valued colleague while helping ensure the mission of Owensboro Catholic continues for future generations.
