Good Luck OCMS Football!

Join us in wishing the OCMS Football team good luck as they face Pikeville on Saturday at 2pm EST at Lexington Christian Academy in the Kentucky Middle School State Tournament.

 

Band Heading to State Semifinals

 

 

The Marching Aces will perform at 12:00 p.m. (Owensboro Time) on Saturday at the State Championship Semifinals at Bullitt Central High School. The top 4 bands will advance to Finals at Papa Johns Stadium Saturday night starting at 5:00 p.m. The Marching Aces are also participating in the Mid-States Marching Band Circuit this year and will compete against bands from Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio next Saturday in Cincinnati. The high school sent the band off with a pep rally and the band performed for the student body this past Thursday.

 

Red Ribbon Week

 

 

Students at the 4-6 campus and middle school have been celebrating Red Ribbon week this week. Pictured here are students at the 4-6 campus. Didn’t they do a great job? Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the US.

TEMPORARY MAINTENANCE WORKER

Owensboro Catholic Schools has an immediate opening for a temporary maintenance worker. The position could last up to 3 months.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

Monitor buildings and grounds for three school sites to ensure facilities are well maintained; lawn maintenance and snow and ice removal; general maintenance including replacing light bulbs, repairing playground equipment, painting, and coordinating and supervising special projects (roofing, paving, etc.).

Successful candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry. The job requires lifting, stooping, squatting, reaching, bending, carrying, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Director of Business Affairs

Owensboro Catholic Schools is seeking applicants for the Director of Business Affairs. This position is responsible for administering all business and financial affairs of OCS. This position is characterized with high technical content, entails supervisory responsibility, and requires broad personal interface internally and externally.

OCS is seeking qualified applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and three years of accounting experience. Knowledge of and experience in not-for-profit accounting preferred.

World’s Finest Chocolate Sale & UK Raffle Tickets

K-8 parents please keep in the mind this is the last weekend for kids to sell their chocolate bars.  We have a lot of candy out and need to focus on selling and returning the money to the campuses by Thursday, November 2nd (that’s next week).  Thanks to everyone who has been working so hard on the sale, including our volunteers!

UK Basketball Raffle tickets to the December 16th game against the Virginia Tech Hokies are still on sale at OCS Central Office and all campuses.  This will be great fun for the lucky winner!  A nights stay, dinner and gas is included in the package.  Get your tickets soon, the drawing is Friday, November 17th at noon at OCS Central Office.  (Lic Org 0000100).
