The Diocese of Owensboro Catholic Schools Office has said since the beginning of the COVID pandemic that we would continue to provide information and opportunities for families to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as it becomes available for different age groups.
As you may have seen, the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for children ages 5-11. We will be teaming up with Ethos Labs, our ‘test to stay’ provider, and with Owensboro Public Schools for a clinic this Saturday, November 20. The vaccines are the pediatric Pfizer vaccines and are for anyone ages 5-11 who is interested. This is a drive-thru clinic that will take place in the parking lot of the Owensboro Innovation Campus (2631 South Griffith Ave.). Please enter the lot from the Scherm Rd. side of the building. There will be EMS, a pharmacist, and state trained vaccinators at the event.
You will need to register online prior to arriving. You can do so at https://www.ethos-labs.com/vaccinations/. You will also need to register for your second dose at the same time. That date will be December 11.
Families will need to bring their insurance card if you have one (not required) and parents need to bring a form of identification. If you have proof of age for your child, you can bring that as well, but it is not required.
This clinic is being provided at no cost to families and we encourage everyone to consider receiving the vaccine. If you have questions about the pediatric vaccine, please reach out to your primary care doctor or Beth Hawes with Ethos Labs at [email protected] or (513) 889-4423 ex. 1113.
