Update from OCS

Hi there – my name is Keith Osborne and I am the Chief Administrative Officer for OCS.

I’d like to provide an update on where we are regarding the Coronavirus, but before I do that – I just want to say thank you to each of you for stepping up and doing what is necessary – together we are creating a new foundation in which our children will be successful, will know they are loved and protected, and will continue on their path to heaven.

As I am sure you know by now, the non-traditional days of instruction will now extend to April 17.

We are talking everyday about how best to provide you with the assistance you need without overwhelming you. We will modify what we send out on a continuous basis until we find the right balance.

Some families have asked about tuition reimbursements or after school reimbursements.

There is no consideration being given to a tuition reduction as every Catholic school employee continues to work hard to meet the challenges of the day, and to provide the assistance parents need.

After school reimbursements are being considered and we plan to provide additional information later this week. The same consideration is being given to bus fees from Henderson to Owensboro, and the bus from OCMS to OCHS.

Through the intercession of St. Joseph, I pray everyday for a swift end to the pandemic and that we can all gather around the Eucharist and one another very soon. Meanwhile, trust that everyone at OCS will be doing all we can to be provide whatever you might need.

In Jesus through Mary –

-Keith Osborne
