Several students from Owensboro Catholic Middle School attended the 2019 Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA). During this three day experiential learning conference, students represented Germany. They wrote a resolution to increase literacy among prisoners while also reducing recidivism rates.
Students participated directly in simulated international diplomacy while debating with other schools, developing empathy, honing their critical thinking skills, and engaging with a wide variety of perspectives and global issues. The delegation was awarded Premiere Delegation status for achieving a level of esteemed notoriety and accomplishments. We are very proud of our KUNA delegation for representing OCMS so well!
