Catholic schools ask a lot!

There are 700 families and 1200 children in the OCS system who appreciate what we do! The dollars invested in the OCS K-8 Annual Appeal have helped grow the endowment to over $1 million (which reduces tuition) and the appeal has outfitted classrooms with technology and supplies.

The K-8 Annual Appeal letter will hit your mailboxes soon, on the heels of a successful Magazine Drive, the PTO Boosterthon, and then sponsors are already coming in for the Spring OCS Auction Dinner. In addition, Advancement officers Keith Osborne and Natalie Hayden are working on funding labs and an alumni room. The appeal generosity alone enabled OCS to subsidize an additional 50 low income families last year. This year we are focused on doubling our efforts, so we can double the impact of our ministry. Some lower income (250 families) received $1.2 million in help from the Student Assistance Fund last year.

So that’s why we ask a lot. If you’ve already maxed out on your giving, we really do appreciate your generosity. If you want to help us double our goal or select a project, our families would appreciate that too! Regardless, please pray for the success of all our efforts to support the families in the Owensboro Catholic School System.
