39 – 7th Grade Students Qualify for Duke Talent Search – 10 earn State Recognition

Owensboro Catholic Middle School is proud to announce that 39 students qualified to participate in the 2016 Duke University Talent Identification Program’s 7th Grade Talent Search.  The Talent Search identifies bright seventh graders based on standardized test scores achieved in the sixth grade.  These students were invited to take the ACT or the SAT college entrance exams as seventh graders, which allows them greater insight into their academic abilities.

In addition, we are pleased to congratulate ten students who earned State Recognition.  These seventh graders scored approximately at or above the national average of recent high school graduates on at least one part of the ACT or the SAT.  They are being honored on Wednesday, May 25 at a ceremony at Western Kentucky University.  Congratulations to the following students:
