Two students from OCHS placed first and second in the recent Right to Life Essay Contest!
Kelsey Settles placed first in the Junior/Senior age group and will go to the Banquet in Louisville. She wrote a really moving essay about her sister Melissa. Her parents were told to abort her because her mom’s health was at stake, but they refused. Melissa was born via C-section and has cerebral palsy.
Christopher Spurlock placed second in the Junior/Senior age group. He took a more scientific approach to abortion.
Both essays will be published on the KY Right to Life website after the banquet.
Congratulations Kelsey and Christopher!
