Parents
The importance of home and school working together is of the utmost importance to the philosophy behind our Catholic Schools. Many volunteer opportunities are available and parents are always welcome.
Parent-Home Communication – Parents are kept informed and updated on everything that is going on at school through:
• Daily e-mail announcements – Daily e-mail announcements are sent out to parents on the day’s Bible reading, upcoming events and activities, reminders, birthdays, and lunch menu. Anyone wishing to receive these can sign up by giving a current e-mail address.
• OCMS Website – The OCMS website is updated daily with a calendar of events, lunch menu, and highlights and pictures of activities that have taken place at school.
• S chool Newsletter – Newsletters are mailed to students’ homes. The school newsletter highlights events and informs parents of upcoming events on the school calendar
• Parent-Teacher Conferences – Formal conferences are scheduled at the end of the first quarter; parents may request a conference with their child’s teacher at any time throughout the year
• Progress Reports – Report cards are mailed home every 9-weeks. Progress Reports are sent home mid-quarter. The Parent Portal allows parents to be up to date year long.
