Earth Day - Week Long Focus

April 2008

 

Environmental Club and Durand Engineer, faculty sponsor, have requested that this week be recognized as Earth Day week. Listed below are the activities for each day. Please help this wonderful club publicize and encourage participation in these very worthwhile activities.

Monday, April 21 - Instead of Channel 1 we will be viewing a 12 minute clip of material regarding the environment

Tuesday, April 22 - Carpool day. Ride with someone else to save gas.

Wednesday, April 23 - Ride your bike to school day. There will be a designated area of the parking lot to park bikes for those that choose to do this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thursday, April 24 - Turn off lights for one block. Students know this may not be possible during class time so this has been left to the discretion of faculty and staff. Planning periods might be the best time for you.

Friday, April 25 - Everyone wears a green shirt with their uniform pants.
