47. LOWES SCHOLARSHIP – Online at www.lowes.com/scholarship. $1,000, $5,000 and $15,000 scholarships. Leadership, academics, 500-word essay.

48. GREEN RIVER AREA DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT WORKFORCE INVESTMENT – Eligibility requires admission and full-time student status at eligible college and qualifying major. Up to $5000 award for four years. Based on need and student’s FAFSA information.
Application Deadline: Summer 2008
49. BigSun Athletic Scholarship - $500 scholarship for student athlete, regardless of the sport. Submit a 500 word or less essay describing why you should be the winner of this award to athleticawards@bigsunathletics.com

Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana has new scholarships available to students who will enroll as freshmen in the fall of 2008. For more information, please visit scholarships.Indiana.edu.
Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, Kentucky, is offering a Begley Scholarship. This scholarship covers the recipient’s tuition, room, and board, including trips to study the culture and history of Chicago, New Orleans, New York and San Francisco with all expenses covered. Students with a 24 or above on the ACT are invited to compete. Please see Scott Lowe or Joyce Gruenewald to be nominated for this scholarship.
DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana, is offering a DPU-KEES Scholarship. This is for students from Kentucky who qualify for KEES money. This will be awarded in addition to any DePauw merit awards for which you may qualify.
Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, Missouri is accepting nominations for the Danforth Scholars Program. Essay and recommendations are required. If interested, please see Scott Lowe or Joyce Gruenewald to be nominated for this scholarship.
Nashville Auto-Diesel College,Nashville, Tennessee is offering one full tuition scholarship, one ½ tuition scholarship, three $8,000 tuition scholarships, five $5,000 tuition scholarships, and ten $3,000 tuition scholarships to current high school seniors who will enter NADC during the summer of 2008.
