Miss Kentucky Visits

Miss Kentucky, Rachelle Phillips, talked to the children at the K-3 Campus about the three things they can do to be successful.

Using the "Wizard of Oz" as a starting point, she talked to the children about having Heart-Brains- and Courage.

Ms. Phillips also shared with them the story of her struggle to learn how to read when she was in 2nd grade. She has written a

children's book called "Dinkey the Donkey" and gave the K-3 Campus an autographed copy of the book.

We were very honored that she took time to stop by and visit with our 1st grade students.
