Accelerated Reader

The Accelerated Reader program (AR) at Owensboro Catholic Elementary  is a program in which students read a book and take a computer-based test.  Accelerated Reader is fun for all kids.  Each book is worth a given number of points. If they make a 100% they will earn all the possible points, otherwise the points are pro-rated based on the number of test questions answered correctly.  Accelerated Reader helps students with reading comprehension.

ocsThe STAR reading test will be given to determine the student's reading level.

ocsLists of all AR books can be found below (updated as of August 2009) and are on file at the Daviess County Public Library.
