4-H Speech Contest Winners

Our students excel in all areas – these students recently competed in and advanced in the annual 4-H speech contest. Melba Schemmel Retires from SCRIP

The longtime SCRIP coordinator Melba Schemmel has announced her retirement from the SCRIP program. Melba has served the Owensboro Catholic Schools for over 30 years, serving as the secretary at OCMS, then serving as the SCRIP coordinator for over 12 years now! With a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect, all of us at Owensboro Catholic want to thank Melba for her service to our children, our parents, and our school system.

OCHS Student Scores a Perfect 36 on ACT!

OCHS student Hannah Hagan, a member of the OCHS senior class, recently scored a perfect composite score on the ACT college readiness test. Hannah’s composite score was a perfect 36. OCS Director Ken Rasp was a college admission counselor and director in his previous lives.
