Liturgical Information

The Owensboro Catholic Schools are committed to instilling values, morals and proper attitudes. OCS upholds a standard of order and discipline to teach students responsibility, accountability and respect. OCS prepares each student for life in this world and in Eternity with the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Church. The faculty, staff and administration are dedicated to carrying out their Christ-inspired vocations. Their commitment and sacrifice are inspiring and help form a familial bond that exists between personnel and students.

With Christ as the central focus of our existence, OCS begin each school day in prayer. Through participation in weekly mass, receiving sacraments, and observing Jesus’ behavior modeled each day, our students have the privilege of seeing their Faith come alive in all aspects of our day. Our students score above national averages on the ACRE test, which is a measure of faith knowledge and practice. Many groups volunteer countless hours on church and community projects, working hard to put their Faith into action.
